Happy Halloween!

Halloween is Chris' favorite holiday and I suspect that in the coming years it will be Gibson's as well.

Autumn Fun

We go out exploring with the boy whenever its nice out.
The first few pictures are of us at Hacklebarney State Park. Thanks to the suggestion of Bill Gerber, we stopped at the Cider Mill first and enjoyed hotdogs, ciderkraut and baked beans cooked in apple cider, and of course, apple cider before going for a walk thru the park. This is also the first time we used the baby bjorn. As usual, Gibson slept through most of the experience but we like to think he had fun.

Below are some pictures of our day with the Cotterills at Terhune Orchards. Best cider donuts....mmmm.
Corn maze fun.

Updates at last!

After having lots of trouble downloading pictures to our computer, we finally found a way. We've had a very busy few weeks. The best part so far was the visits with family. Papa Shone and Grandma June came down for a few days and we loved every minute of it. We even got to go visit Aunt Lou and Uncle Dick, so much fun. Thanks Pop and June, for coming to visit and for all you did for us while you were here. Coming back anytime soon?

Meeting Papa for the first time. Gibson spent many hours sleeping on Papa's shoulder over the next few days.

Another new favorite place to hang out, Grandma June's arms! Gibson would like to apologize to Grandma about the rather loud walk around the block, he was just a little cranky that day.

Auntie and Unc. Gibson is really looking forward to Thanksgiving to meet the cousins!

Two of his favorite ladies.

Saying Goodbye. This is before the tears...there are always tears with goodbyes.

Gibson ROCKS!

My co-workers at Guitar Center got together and bought the boy a welcome-to-the-world gift (project spearheaded by Hosie...)
He may never know how cool he is...

Look boy, nature!

Poor slow plastic children...

So we've been taking Gibson pretty much everywhere we can think of. Perhaps he will have vague and fond memories of trudging through pumpkin patches and corn mazes with his pal Cali. He may retain distant images of rocks and waterfalls and apple orchards and cider and Daddy sprinting to the state park restroom after ciderdogs with ciderkraut, cider baked beans, and well, plain cider. I'm sure it was humorous to someone else.

So far so good

Gibson has been such a good boy. We wouldn't mind a few more hours sleep but we are working on a schedule so we each get a few consecutive hours each night. Gibson was born weighing 5 lbs 12 oz. When we brought him home he weighed only 5.5, but by his first visit to the doctor he was up to 5.8, then 5.14 and as of one week ago he was 6.5. He already looks so different than when he born. Here are a few random pictures of our boy.

Gibson at his first beer garden with Pop on 9/29/07.

First introduction to "nature." Pop needed that burp cloth.

Sleep is their favorite activity.

Aeeehhh -thats how he gets our attention.

His first walk around Milltown.

His first backyard picnic.

Outside makes him sleepy.

My most recent favorite photo.

Uncle Jimmie.

Bonding with Uncle John.

Uncle Fid, he didn't break him or anything.
